The Life Dr.

Of course with this being Father’s Day …We first have to thank God our Father.

In the Old Testament He revealed Himself in many ways.  Beginning with Elohim (The Trinity) the Creator and progressively revealing more and more of Himself…..

But until Jesus came on the scene no one could relate to Him in the manner He desired most and had created mankind for.  The fall of man drove us away from walking in the garden in the cool of the day with Him… to His presence being to much for us to bear due to sin now apart of our lives… So… God so loved us He sent His son.. JESUS… TO RESTORE US  TO OUR FATHER!! Never again would He be a distant God , but because of the blood of Jesus we now have the ability to go to our Father !! GOD IS AMAZING AND DESERVES OUR LOVE AND RESPECT… SO ON THIS FATHER’S DAY I START WITH HIM.

But God has given me a very special gift I want to share !!  I can’t say my father … I never even knew him… But he gave me a man that would become all that the Word of God promises.  The Word teaches us to GIVE HONOR TO WHOM HONOR IS DUE.

GOD GAVE ME MY HUSBAND..HE  IS THE BEST MAN I KNOW… OR EVER HAVE KNOWN…

God  brought him in my life when I was in my teens.  He was the only man in my life and had to be what I so badly needed. (since I did not know the Lord yet)  Vernon brought to my life all the things a father should have… Love just because I was me… Made me feel safe for the first time…Made me believe in myself and encouraged me to grow into whomever I wanted to become ( and I did)… Somehow I knew this man would never leave me and he never has !!

I have watched this man who became a father at such a young age (to not one but two wonderful sons) decide what kind of man he would be, to be a great example to our sons so they could grow into strong men knowing their father believed in them and would move heaven and earth for them and he has. He decided a life of character and integrity was the most important of all and has lived it as a walking example … I saw this man hold me and love me through the loss of both of our daughters…only for God to add daughters back at our sons sides and give us the most beautiful grandchildren.   I have watched this man become a spiritual father to many, lay down his life for His God and the people God has entrusted in his hands.  I have watched him raise our natural and spiritual daughters from young girls into beautiful women,wives and mothers….. and natural and spiritual sons from young boys into great men…husbands… and fathers.  I see him pray and cry out to God to be who he needs to be so others can see OUR FATHER in him.

I LOVE THIS MAN FOR ALL HE IS AND WANT TO HONOR HIM TODAY….. SO TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE….THE FATHER TO MY CHILDREN…. MY PARTNER IN MINISTRY AND MY BEST FRIEND

I HONOR YOU TODAY VERNON…
